This Privacy Policy explains how PLAYASIDE LTD (“Playaside”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Playaside mobile applications, websites, and related services (the “Service”).
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

2) What personal data we collect
We collect personal data in the following categories (depending on how you use the Service):
2.1 Account and profile
- Name, email address
- Profile photo/avatar and other profile details you choose to provide
- Authentication data (e.g., sign-in via Google; we donot store your Google password)
- Country (used for features like wallet currency, payouts eligibility, and compliance)
2.2 Communities, matches, and activity
- Communities you create/join, roles (e.g., member/captain/admin/manager)
- Match participation, availability status, team selection/draft participation, bookings
- Preferences and settings (where available)
2.3 Messages and content you share
- Match chat, community chat, and private messages you send/receive
- Files you upload (e.g., images), and related metadata
2.4 Payments, wallet, and payouts
If you use paid features, we may collect:
- Transaction records (e.g., wallet top-ups, match charges, refunds/adjustments)
- Payment status and identifiers returned by our payment provider(s)
- Payout onboarding status (for eligible organizers/managers)
Important: Payment card details are handled by our payment provider(s) (e.g., Stripe). We generally do not store full card numbers.
2.5 Device, usage, and technical data
- Device identifiers and app/browser information
- IP address, approximate location derived from IP, logs and diagnostic events
- Cookies and similar technologies for web sessions (where applicable)
- Push notification tokens (e.g., for delivering notifications)
2.6 Location data
The Service may use location information you provide (such as city/country) and may process location-related data to support match discovery and venue experiences. Where precise location is used, we will request permission via your device/app prompt.
3) How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- Provide and operate the Service (accounts, communities, matches, real-time updates, chat)
- Process payments, wallet operations, refunds, and (where applicable) payouts
- Communicate with you (transactional emails, service messages, support)
- Send notifications (e.g., chat/match updates, reminders), subject to your settings
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms & Conditions
- Maintain and improve the Service (debugging, performance monitoring, feature improvement)
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax, accounting, anti-fraud, regulatory requirements)
4) Our legal bases (UK GDPR)
Where the UK GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you request (e.g., account, match participation, chat, payments).
- Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and market the Service, prevent abuse, and operate communities and events effectively (balanced against your rights).
- Legal obligation: to meet legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Consent: where required (e.g., certain marketing communications, precise device location, push notifications depending on platform settings).
You can withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the basis), which will not affect processing already carried out.

We use vendors to run the Service, such as:
- Payment processing (e.g., Stripe) for payments and payouts
- Cloud hosting and storage (e.g., file storage providers)
- Email delivery for transactional emails

- Error monitoring / logging to diagnose issues and improve reliability
These providers are permitted to process personal data only to provide services to us, under contractual safeguards.
5.2 With other users (as part of the Service)
Your profile and activity may be visible to other users depending on how you use the Service, such as:
- Your name/avatar within a community or match
- Messages you send in chats
- Your participation/availability and team assignment for a match
5.3 For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose personal data if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Playaside, our users, or the public
- Prevent or investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security issues
5.4 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6) International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, UK Addendum to EU SCCs, adequacy decisions, and/or equivalent contractual and technical protections.
